Russian-born, German-raised EDM producer/DJ/songwriter – Zedd – one of the hottest talents to emerge last year, follows up his well-received debut single Spectrum ft. Matthew Koma, with another classic gem called Clarity featuring UK vocalist Foxes.
Clarity is released in the UK on February 25th and is taken from his debut album of the same name (other collaborations on the record includes Ellie Goulding and Ryan Tedder), which is available now.
Hailing from Kaiserslautern Germany, Zedd has forged a reputation amongst underground dance heads as one of the leading talents in the progressive house, electro and dubstep scenes. Zedd first made waves with a series of well-received remixes of tracks by Skrillex, The Black Eyed Peas, Fatboy Slim, and more recently remixing Lady Gaga’s tracks “Born This Way” and “Marry the Night” which appeared on her Born This Way Deluxe Edition release.
Having already toured with Lady Gaga on her “Born This Way Ball” tour, Skrillex and Deadmau5 among others, as well as playing Creamfields last year. Zedd has just wrapped The Poseidon Tour with fellow artist and friend, Porter Robinson which featured both Zedd and Porter playing back-to-back tracks, alternating throughout the night.
If you’re a fan of electronic music, I can’t stress enough how good this song is. If you loved Zedd’s Spectrum, Clarity notches up the bass, and also includes the beautiful vocals from London’s Foxes. Zedd’s production skills in this song are simply flawless; I suggest when listening you crank the volume up. This song automatically gave me good energy and it’s definitely a song I want to hear either live or in a room full of people on a night out.
