The announcement of the tour caps an extraordinary career for Debbie Harry, Chris Stain and Clem Burke since the explosion of Blondie into the music world with Parallel Lines in 1978 – The band have created global success with nine albums and an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame under their belt, firmly ensuring Blondie are still making big waves in music.
The band are said to be planning to perform all the greatest hits and most recognisable tracks, including “Maria”, "Hanging on the Telephone", "Call Me", "Atomic" and "Heart of Glass". They will also perform hit tracks from the recent ‘Panic of Girls’ album, such as ‘Mother”, “What I heard” and album title track “Panic of Girls” as well as new and unreleased material. Blondie’s summer shows are set to revive the American New Wave and punk scenes of the mid-1970s in the UK with rockers old and new.
