THE LUMINEERS
ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE ‘STUBBORN LOVE’
 RELEASED ON 24TH JUNE

The Lumineers have announced their new single, and follow-up to the huge single ‘Ho Hey’, ‘Stubborn Love’ which will be released on 24th June.

This release will kick-start an amazing festival season, where the band will be performing on the Other Stage at Glastonbury Festival, as well as T in the Park, Belsonic Festival Belfast, Reading and Leeds.

The band have had incredible success recently; performing at the Grammy Awards 2013, and were nominated for both “Best New Artist” and “Best Americana Album “at the legendary annual music awards.

The band’s performance and nominations cement what has been a phenomenal year for the Denver trio who in less than eight months have become the biggest DIY success story of 2012 having sold over 1 million copies of their debut self-titled album and over 3.5 million single downloads of their debut single ‘Ho Hey’ through the independent Nashville-based label, Dualtone.

New single ‘Stubborn Love’ is a gorgeously uplifting song with a huge, powerful chorus backed by strong cello and guitar. It is a live favourite for the band and you cannot help but sing along to the chorus, which gets stronger and more passionate throughout.

Here, in the UK the band’s debut album has sold over a quarter million reaching an official chart high at #8 and the cult classic single ‘Ho Hey’ is certified platinum also hitting #8 in the charts. Both the album and single have been fluctuating in the UK iTunes top 10 since release with sales increasing week on week.

Live, the demand for tickets in the UK has been astonishing; graduating from Hoxton Bar and Grill to KOKO to Shepherds Bush Empire to two consecutive nights at Brixton Academy within 5 months, followed by a sold out UK tour. November dates to be announced soon.
