Are You The Next Wendy, Michael or John? PETER PAN Auditions In York

An exciting opportunity to perform on the main stage at York Theatre Royal has opened up, as the Theatre searches for budding young actors to perform in its summer spectacular, Peter Pan.

York Theatre Royal is looking for two Wendy’s, three Michael’s and three John’s to performance in rotation during the productions six week run. This is a great chance to perform alongside the theatre’s Ensemble cast and take part in a professional production.

Peter Pan will be this year’s summer spectacle, following on from the theatres past highly successful summer shows, The Railway Children and The Wind in the Willows. This year it forms part of the theatre’s seven month In The Round Ensemble Season, which sees the theatre produce six back to back productions on its newly configured in-the-round main stage with a repertory company of actors.

To audition for Wendy or John you need to be between 14 and 17 years old with a passion for acting. For Michael they are looking for boys between 10 and 13 years old. No past experience is required and you will be asked to read from the script at the audition.

Auditions will be held on Sun 29 May. To apply download the application form on www.yorktheatreroyal.co.uk or contact the theatre’s reception on 01904 658162. The deadline for applications is Tue 24 May and if you are successful the theatre will notify you of your audition time.

Peter Pan runs from Fri 29 Jul to Sat 3 Sep and you will need to be available for rehearsals prior to these dates.
