JON RICHARDSON Announces "It's Not Me, It's You" Autumn Tour 2011

JON RICHARDSON
It’s Not Me, It’s You’ Autumn Tour 2011

2009 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, star of Stand Up For The Week, Have I Got News For You, Live At The Apollo and new team captain on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Jon Richardson will be taking his show, It’s Not Me It’s You, across the UK this Autumn.

It’s Not Me It’s You sees everyone’s favourite young grumpy man return to the stage. Embracing his misanthropy, the show features the best bits from his critically acclaimed 2009 Edinburgh show ‘Don’t Happy Be Worry’ as well as brand new material.

Discussing the everyday items that have a profound effect on his outlook, It’s Not Me It’s You sees Jon working his pessimism with some hilarious consequences, and as always with his loveable vivacious delivery. It’s also the name of Jon’s highly anticipated first self penned book which is set for release on 23rd June 2011 by HarperCollins.

Away from stand-up Jon is massively in demand for television and radio appearances. His recent TV credits include; Have I Got News For You (BBC ONE), Live At The Apollo (BBC1), 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4) Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC ONE), Channel 4’s Comedy Gala Live At The 02, Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC TWO), Grumpy Young Men (Comedy Central), Richard Bacon’s Beer And Pizza Club (ITV4), The Bubble (BBC TWO) and Walk On The Wild Side (BBC TWO).

Jon has also made appearances on numerous radio shows including ...And The Winner Is... (BBC Radio 2, hosted by Matt Lucas), Act Your Age (BBC Radio 4), The Museum Of Curiosity (Radio 4) and is also a regular contributor on Five Live’s Fighting Talk. He has also hosted his own Sunday morning radio show on BBC6 Music.

A regular on the stand-up circuit, Jon’s first gig was in 2003 where he won his heat of the BBC New Comedy Talent Search. After completing a 60 date UK with Alan Carr in 2006, Jon won ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ at the 2007 Chortle Awards and went on to receive a ‘Best Newcomer’ nomination for his show Spatula Pad at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This was followed in 2008 with a successful Edinburgh run of his second solo show Dogmatic and a subsequent Edinburgh Comedy Award best show nomination in 2009 for his third Edinburgh show, This Guy at Night.

Jon will be reading extracts from his debut book this August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for a limited run only, 20th – 28th August at the Pleasance Ace Dome at 2:30pm. Book early to avoid disappointment.
