SIR BRUCE FORSYTH Announces 'Bruce Live' Show at Royal Albert Hall - May 2012

Live Nation in association with Ian Wilson and Billy Marsh Associates presents

BRUCE FORSYTH – BRUCE LIVE

THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL
Thursday 3rd May 2012

23rd November 2011 - In the Spring of 2012, Sir Bruce Forsyth will have been working in show business for 70 years. To celebrate the occasion, he returns to the London stage for the first time in more than a decade in a spectacular one-off performance of comedy and music at The Royal Albert Hall.

Says Bruce “I can’t believe it’s been such a long time since I last did what I love best – working to a live theatre audience. It’s how I started and what I did for so many, many years. Television is great but for me as a performer nothing compares to a live theatre show.”

Bruce will be accompanied by an orchestra under the direction of Strictly Come Dancing’s Dave Arch and the show will feature songs from his critically acclaimed EMI album, “These Are My Favourites”.

Tickets are on sale now priced £30 - £65 (subject to booking fee) at www.livenation.co.uk or www.royalalberthall.com

SIR BRUCE FORSYTH CBE

Bruce Forsyth is one of the U.K.’s most loved and durable stars and has now been in showbusiness for eight decades! It is a career begun very young when, in the middle of World War Two, he left school and aged 14 began performing professionally billed as “Boy Bruce The Might Atom”. Sixteen years later in 1958, he became an “overnight” star when he was chosen to host “Sunday Night At The London Palladium” and for fifty years he has remained one of the most influential and popular performers on British television. In 1998 he was awarded the O.B.E., in 2006, the C.B.E. and in 2011 a Knighthood for his services to the entertainment industry. In 2008, as well as celebrating his 80th birthday, Bruce was awarded a BAFTA Fellowship, the highest accolade the Academy can bestow. In 2011 he presents Series 9 of Strictly Come Dancing and returns to his musical roots with the release of his album “(These are) My Favourites” on EMI.
