The Full Monty is back in Glasgow this February!
Simon Beaufoy’s THE FULL MONTY gets down to business at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow this month with an all-star cast and stellar moves as part of a UK tour which kicked off last year.
Opening on Monday 27 February and running until Saturday 4 March, this is the production’s second appearance at the venue following a sell-out week in 2014.
The cast will be led by Gary Lucy (Danny Pennant in EastEnders, DS Will Fletcher in The Bill, Kyle Pascoe in Footballer’s Wives, Luke Morgan in Hollyoaks, winner of Dancing on Ice) as Gaz, along with Anthony Lewis (Mark Reynolds in Emerdale) as Lomper, Andrew Dunn (best known as Tony in Dinnerladies and for his regular appearances playing Alastair Campbell on Bremner, Bird and Fortune) as Gerald, Louis Emerick (Mick Johnson in Brookside and PC Walsh in Last of the Summer Wine) as Horse, Chris Fountain (best known for his roles as Justin Burton in Hollyoaks and Tommy Duckworth in Coronation Street, runner-up of Dancing on Ice) as Guy and Kai Owen (best known for his portrayal of Rhys in Torchwood and recently played Pete in Hollyoaks) as Dave.
Based on the 1997 British film of the same name, the story follows six unemployed Sheffield steelworkers who form a male striptease act as inspired by the Chippendales. The big screen hit took the world by storm and became one of the most successful British films ever made. The story undoubtedly still resonates with many today.
