**Autumn 2011 UK tour dates just announced** 

Panic over, he’s back! After successfully touring „Gruntled‟ around the UK this spring to much critical acclaim, Britain's foremost topical comedian and star of BBC2’s Mock The Week, Andy Parsons is back on the road this autumn with another 30 UK dates. The autumn 2011 tour also includes one night at the Shepherds Bush Empire on 15th September where Andy will be recording his second stand-up DVD, set for release by Universal Pictures (UK) November 2011.

Britain's foremost topical comedian returns to the stage for more logically rigorous, cutting pain tinged comedy. Expect the usual clever politically inspired bemusements and disappointedly crushed enthusiasm. There will be some shades of light and dark with several trademark passionate tirades and a little peak behind the showbusiness curtain. Coalition, cuts, comedy and discovering a pair of underpants in a jar of mayonnaise.

Andy has enjoyed huge success as a writer and performer on television and radio as well as on stage. As well as Mock The Week (BBC 2) & Live At The Apollo (BBC 1), Andy released his debut stand-up DVD Britain’s Got Idiots through Universal Pictures (UK) which went on to air on BBC2 in 2010.

Andy’s radio credits include 9 series of Parsons and Naylor (BBC Radio 2), Never Write Off The Germans (BBC Radio 2) Scrooby Trevithick (BBC Radio 4) and Fighting Talk and The PMQ Show (BBC Radio 5 Live).

Andy’s renowned stand-up performances have taken him all over the world at prestigious comedy festivals in Montreal, New Zealand, Australia and Kilkenny and Edinburgh. Awards include being crowned winner of the 2006 Montreal Comedy Festival „The Comedy Showdown‟, winner of the 2004 New Zealand Comedy Guild Best International Act and winner of the 2002 Time Out Best Comedy Award.

Andy is performing a limited run of ‘Gruntled‟ at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival from 20th – 28th August at the Assembly Hall at 9pm. He will also be releasing his second stand-up DVD, „Gruntled‟, this November which is available to pre-order now at www.amazon.co.uk. The DVD will be recorded at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire in September.
